OVERVIEW

New York State Homes & Community Renewal seeks to engage development partners in the production and preservation of rental housing in need to repair or replace housing damaged from storms by investing the financing resources identified herein.

HCR is making available allocations under the New York Rising Rental Buildings Recovery Program Affordable Housing Fund. These are federal Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds provided to New York State and administered through the Housing Trust Fund Corporation.

Recovery Action Plan

Utilizing supplemental CDBG disaster recovery funding for Community Development Block Grant disaster recovery grantees, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) allocated these funds for severe damage to housing, businesses and infrastructure in the most impacted counties after taking into account data on insurance, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance, and Small Business Assistance (SBA) disaster loans.
