At HCR, we invest in the things that make New York a more affordable, inclusive, and vibrant place to live and work. Under Governor Hochul’s leadership, HCR has helped tens of thousands of people rent or buy homes they can afford, built sustainable, attractive communities, and supported the small businesses that make New York hum.

Housing Plan Data Dashboard

As part of the FY23 Enacted Budget, the Governor announced a five-year, $25 billion Housing Plan to create or preserve 100,000 affordable homes statewide, including 10,000 with support services for vulnerable populations, plus the electrification of an additional 50,000 homes. Over 60,000 homes have been created or preserved to date.
