Manufactured Home Advantage Program
The Manufactured Home Advantage Program (MHAP) offers affordable financing for the rehabilitation of manufactured home communities (MHCs) in New York State. Through this program, not-for-profit and for-profit owners of MHCs may access below market rate financing to repair and modernize MHC infrastructure, expand such infrastructure for the addition of new home pads up to permitted capacity, and repair or replace substandard MHC-owned rental homes. Funding is also available for the acquisition of an MHC by a qualified, mission-driven affordable housing organization to preserve the community as affordable housing.
To be eligible, owners must agree to keep the community affordable and well-maintained.
Limited predevelopment funding may be available to non-profit housing organizations to assess the scope and viability of a project.
