Media Advisory: Early Notice and Public Review of a Proposed Activity in a Floodplain for Harbor House at the YWCA in the City of Schenectady, New York

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR) has determined that the proposed Harbor House at the YWCA, located at 38-44 Washington Avenue in the City of Schenectady is located in a floodplain.  NYSHCR will be identifying and evaluating practicable alternatives to locating the action in the floodplain and the potential impacts on the floodplain from the proposed action, as required by Executive Order 11988, in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 Subpart C Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management and Protection of Wetlands.  Further information can be obtained by emailing [email protected] or at: https://hcr.ny.gov/hcr-environmental-review.
