Media advisory: NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST RELEASE OF FUNDS FOR THE YWCA OF THE GREATER CAPITAL REGION PROJECT in THE CITY OF TROY, RENSSELAER COUNTY

New York State Homes and Community Renewal has determined that the proposed rehabilitation of the YWCA OF THE GREATER CAPITAL REGION at 21 FIRST STREET, TROY, NY, RENSSELAER County is Categorically Excluded under HUD regulations at 24 CFR Part 58 from National Environmental Policy Act requirements.  Therefore, an Environmental Impact Statement under the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) is not required.  HCR's approval of the certification satisfies its responsibilities under NEPA and related laws and authorities and allows the YWCA of the Greater Capital Region to use Program funds.  Additional project information is contained in the Environmental Review Record (ERR) which can be obtained by emailing [email protected] or at: https://hcr.ny.gov/hcr-environmental-review
