Hearing and Presentation Dates

  • June 8, 2022 Public Hearing #1, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will be held at Yonkers Riverfront Library, located at 1 Larkin Center, Yonkers Room, Yonkers, New York 10701. It will be held to hear testimony from tenants, owners, and other members of the public concerning how the WRGB should determine the rent adjustments, if any, for leases of apartments subject to ETPA and for such other business that may come before the board.

 

  • June 13, 2022 Research & Analysis Presentation Meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at the Westchester District Rent Office, located at 75 South Broadway, Suite 350, White Plains, New York 10601. It will be held for the WRGB to receive a presentation from the DHCR Research & Analysis Unit on the tabulation of data based upon responses of ETPA owners to the annual survey.

 

  • June 14, 2022 Public Hearing #2, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at White Plains City Hall, City Council Chambers, located at 255 Main Street, White Plains, New York 10601. It will be held to hear testimony from tenants, owners, and other members of the public concerning how the WRGB should determine the rent adjustments, if any, for leases of apartments subject to ETPA and for such other business that may come before the board.

 

  • June 21, 2022 Public Hearing #3, at 7:30 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at Mount Vernon City Hall, City Council Chambers, located at 1 Roosevelt Square, Mount Vernon, New York 10550. It will be held to hear testimony from tenants, owners, and other members of the public concerning how the WRGB should determine the rent adjustments, if any, for leases of apartments subject to ETPA and for such other business that may come before the board.

 

  • June 22, 2022 Presentation Meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at New Rochelle City Hall, Room B-1, located at 90 Beaufort Place, New Rochelle, New York 10801. It will be held for the presentations of the tenant and owner representatives regarding the rent guidelines for leases commencing between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.

 

  • June 27, 2022 Rebuttal and Vote Meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at New Rochelle City Hall, Room B-1, located at 90 Beaufort Place, New Rochelle, New York 10801. It will be held for the rebuttal presentations of the tenant and owner representatives and to vote on rent guidelines for leases commencing between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.

 

  • Certification Meeting
    • The WRGB anticipates scheduling a further public meeting to be held in September 2022 (specific date to be determined) to certify the rent guidelines for ETPA leases commencing between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023. A further public notice will be issued when the date and time for this meeting is determined.

Nassau County

Hearing and Presentation Dates

  • May 17, 2022 Public Hearing #1, at 7:30 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at the Town of North Hempstead Town Hall, located at 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York 11030. It will be held to hear testimony from tenants and owners concerning how the Board should determine the rent adjustments, if any, for one and two-year leases of apartments subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974, as amended, and which commence on or between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
    • Please Note: The Board reserves the right to limit the time the speaker may address the Board.

 

  • June 6, 2022 Public Hearing #2, at 7:30 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at Long Beach City Hall, located at 1 West Chester Street, Long Beach, New York 11561. It will be held to hear testimony from tenants and owners concerning how the Board should determine the rent adjustments, if any, for one and two-year leases of apartments subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974, as amended, and which commence on or between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
    • Please Note: The Board reserves the right to limit the time the speaker may address the Board.

 

  • June 21, 2022 Presentation Hearing, at 7:30 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at the Nathan L.H. Bennett Pavilion, located at One Washington Street, Hempstead, NY 11550. It will be held to hear testimony in the form of formal presentations by tenants and landlords and their representatives concerning the economic conditions of the residential real estate industry in the cities, towns, and villages of Nassau County with apartments subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974 (ETPA).
    • Please Note: Due to time constraints, the Board reserves the right to prescribe a time limit for each speaker. It is requested that each speaker submit thirteen (13) copies of his or her written presentation, if any, to the Board so that there may be enough copies for each member of the Board and its staff.

 

  • June 23, 2022 Deliberation and Vote Meeting, at 7:30 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at the Nassau County Legislative Building, located at 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, NY 11501. It will be held to establish the guidelines for rent adjustments, if any, for housing accommodations subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974 in Nassau County for leases of one or two years which commence on or between October 1, 2022, and September 30, 2023.
    • Please Note: There is no public speaking at this meeting.

Rockland County

Hearing and Presentation Dates

  • June 7, 2022 Public Hearing #1, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place via Zoom. It will be held to determine the guidelines rates of rent adjustments, if any, for housing accommodations within its jurisdiction, subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974 for leases commencing between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023. Instructions for members of the public to simultaneously listen to the meeting will be posted to HCR's website for the Office of Rent Administration under the Public Hearings section prior to the meeting. The hearing will also later be transcribed and the public will have the ability to view the transcript.
    • Members of the public wishing to address the Board during this meeting may send an e-mail to [email protected] requesting that they be placed on a list of speakers no later than June 6, 2022. On the date of the meeting, all persons who have signed up to speak will be provided with instructions on how to call in to the meeting and will be required to call in when prompted by the Chair. The Chair will call for the speakers in the order in which they signed up prior to the meeting. The speakers addressing the Board during the meeting are limited to three minutes for individuals and five minutes for persons on behalf of entities or organizations.
    • Alternatively, the public may submit written comments addressing the RRGB via the following email: [email protected]. The deadline to submit written comments for this public hearing is June 3, 2022.

 

  • June 15, 2022 Research and Analysis Presentation Meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at Finkelstein Public Library, located at 24 Chestnut Street, Spring Valley, NY 10977. It will be held for the Rockland RGB to receive a presentation of the DHCR Research and Research & Analysis Unit of the tabulations of data based upon responses of ETPA owners to the annual survey.
    • Please Note: There will be no public comment period during this meeting.

 

  • June 21, 2022 Public Hearing #2 and Meeting, at 7:00 p.m.
    • This meeting will take place at Haverstaw Town Hall, located at One Rosman Road, Garnersville, NY 10923. It will be held to hear testimony pertaining to the setting of the rent adjustments, if any, for leases of apartments subject to the Emergency Tenant Protection Act of 1974, as amended, and which commence on or between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.
    • Members of the public wishing to address the Board during the meeting may send an e-mail to [email protected] requesting that they be placed on a list of speakers. Additionally, members of the public may sign up at the meeting. The speakers addressing the Board during the meeting are limited to three minutes for individuals and five minutes for persons on behalf of entities or organizations.
    • Alternatively, the public may submit written comments addressing the RRGB via the following email: [email protected]. The deadline to submit written comments for this public hearing is June 17, 2022.
