Robert F. Mujica Jr. Director, New York State Division of the Budget
Robert F. Mujica Jr. is the Director of the Budget for New York State, as appointed by former Governor Andrew Cuomo. He is responsible for the overall development and management of the State’s fiscal policy, including overseeing the preparation of budget recommendations for all State agencies and programs, economic and revenue forecasting, tax policy, fiscal planning, capital financing and management of the State’s debt portfolio. Mr. Mujica also serves as on the boards of more than 30 organizations, including the Board of Trustees of The City University of New York, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board, the Smart Schools Review Board, the Affordable Housing Corporation Board, the Financial Restructuring Board for Local Governments, the Higher Education Capital Program Board, and the Public Authorities Control Board.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Mujica was Chief of Staff to the Temporary President and Majority Leader of the Senate and concurrently served as the Secretary to the Senate Finance Committee. For over 25 years, Mr. Mujica advised governors, legislative leaders, and other government officials in New York on State budget, fiscal and policy issues.
