| Q: | How do I obtain a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher application from the HCR Subsidy Services Bureau? |
| A. | The waiting list in our agency's State-administered Section 8 HCV Program in New York City is currently closed due to the large number of families already on that list. There are no immediate plans for re-opening that list in the near future. |
| Q: | Who do I contact to find out the status of my HCR Pre-Application? |
| A. | Inquiries about pre-applications submitted to our State-administered Section 8 HCV Program in New York City should be directed to the NYS HCR Subsidy Services Bureau at (212) 480-6674 or (212) 480-6672. |
| Q: | If I move to another residence, will information about my pre-application be forwarded to my new address? |
| A. | If you change your home or mailing address for any reason, you must notify the Subsidy Services Bureau IN WRITING so that your pre-application can be updated with this information. If any correspondence sent to you from the NYS HCR Section 8 HCV Program is returned to NYS HCR by the U. S. Post Office as undeliverable, your pre-application will be invalidated and your name removed from the Subsidy Services Bureau waiting list. Therefore, please notify the Subsidy Services Bureau of any changes in your home and/or mailing address. |
